Stunning Comeback Of NSUI In Delhi University, Countdown For RSS-Free India?

The Congress-backed National Students Union of India won the President and the Vice-President posts winning over RSS-backed Akhil Bharatiya Vidhyarthi Parishad in the Delhi University Students Union. The main contestants for the DUSU President post were ABVP’s Rajat Choudhary, AISA’s Parul Chauha, independent candidates Raja Choudury and Alka and Rocky Tusheed of the NSUI. Rocky Tusheed emerged as the winner of the president post. This is a great victory for NSUI since ABVP dominated the union for the last few years. Last year, the RSS-backed ABVP bagged three posts, while the Congress’s NSUI made a comeback, winning the post of the Joint Secretary. NSUI in a statement said, “This mandate shows that students throughout the country have rejected poisonous & divisive ideology of RSS.”
