Venezuela to Install Truth, Justice and Reparations Commission

The body will investigate cases of political violence from 2014 to 2017 and it will be led by the ANC President Delcy Rodriguez. Venezuela’s National Constituent Assembly, ANC, has appointed the members to form the Truth, Justice and Reparation Commission for Victims, which will be installed on Wednesday at the Bolivian Museum in the capital Caracas. It will investigate cases of political violence from 2014 to 2017 and it will be led by the ANC President Delcy Rodriguez.
Other members of the Commission include the parish priest of the San Francisco church of Caracas, Jose Numa Molina, the Attorney General of Venezuela, Tareck William Saab, the ombudsman, Alfredo Ruiz, as well as Aylin García and Edgar Márquez, members of the Organization of Victims and Families.
Three deputies from the National Assembly will be designated by the political block or group of opinion from the opposition parties.
The special commission will also seek to promote peace and prevent further violent acts directed at the Bolivarian Revolutionary government, according to Venezuela’s News Agency.
